Brown Sugar Rub

Rubs aren’t rocket science. You throw spices together until you find what you like. Here is my take on a Brown Sugar Rub. I use it on beef and pork. I make my rubs in small batches and use freshly ground herbs and spices when I can. This makes enough to cover two 3lb Tri-tips.

Gather the ingredients.

  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Kosher Salt
  • ⅛ cup Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Celery Seed
  • 1½ tbsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp. Onion Powder
